Catherine Weems is the purchasing, financial and administrative specialist at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR). She collaborates with fund managers and staff regarding purchase orders as well as travel and other work-related reimbursements.
Previous to CHPR, Weems was a financial analyst at the UCLA Lab School. There she managed the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, which included forecasting budgets, reviewing budget variance analysis, and overseeing monthly financial statements. She also worked as an accountant at a CPA firm, handling high-profile clients in the entertainment industry, and as a senior manager at a hedge company, managing various portfolios for high-net worth investors.
Weems earned her bachelor's degree in accounting and business at the University of Southern California.
