​Cynthia Garcia is a data analyst assistant with the Health Economics and Evaluation Research Program at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR). She is currently supporting project managers with evaluations of the Housing for a Healthy California and the Parks After Dark programs for the California Department of Housing and Community Development and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, respectively.

Prior to joining the Center, Garcia worked as a public health associate with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Albuquerque Area Southwest Tribal Epidemiology Center (AASTEC) on New Mexico’s implementation of the CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey. She also worked as a program manager for a health care workforce development program in Los Angeles, where she managed program operations and built relationships with key hospital clients and staff to ensure the success of the program.

Garcia received her bachelor’s degree in public health from California State University, Fullerton.
