Hala Douglas is the Assistant to the Director at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Douglas is responsible for coordinating and managing the administrative and research responsibilities of the Director's office. She develops and maintains office organizational systems, manages the Director's demanding calendar, and supports her academic instructional activities.
 
Her professional career began in project management where she assisted in developing and managing administrative procedures for a group of private businesses. Prior to joining the Center, Douglas was employed by Canada's Public Health Agency. For five years, she was the office manager of a satellite office, where she provided administrative support to a team of researchers and technical staff.
 
Douglas received her bachelor's degree in business management from the Lebanese American University in Beirut and has taken several personal development courses.
