Sample Code to Analyze CHIS Data

This pagprovides links to sample code for appropriately analyzing California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) data in several statistical software packages using the Taylor series linearization method or replicate weights method. For a summary of how weighting and variance estimation work in analyzing CHIS Data, refer to Weighting and Variance Estimation.

Sample Code to Pool Multiple Cycles of CHIS Data

This page also provides a link to SAS-callable SUDAAN® (SAS/SUDAAN) and Stata® sample codes to concatenate data files from multiple years and generate a new set of weights, taking multi-year pooling into account. For general guidelines on producing estimates and testing hypotheses with pooled/combined data from one-year public use adult data files (PUFs), refer to Pooling CHIS Data.
