Health care reform faces legal challenges and critical tests in coming months. California in particular has been a leader in implementing the first stages of health care reform. What is the future for this important new law?

Please join us at a special afternoon symposium in which California's leading health experts will discuss the future of health care reform and report on early successes and challenges in implementation.

Speakers include:

Kim Belshé, former secretary, California Health and Human Services Agency,

Diana Bonta, president & CEO of The California Wellness Foundation,

E. Richard Brown, founding director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research

Robert Kaplan, director, NIH Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research,

Gerald Kominski, director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research,

Peter Long, CEO, Blue Shield Foundation of California,

Linda Rosenstock, dean, UCLA School of Public Health

and many more…

The symposium is organized by the UCLA School of Public Health and is being held in honor of both the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and the distinguished and pioneering work of Dr. E. Richard Brown, who recently stepped down as the Center's director.

The symposium also welcomes the Center's new director, Dr. Gerald Kominski, a respected and widely-published authority on health care reform, health care economics, and efforts to improve the efficacy of public programs.
