This report provides a summary of the statewide findings from the 2005 California Health Interview Survey, with highlights of changes from 2003 to 2005. Separate adult, adolescent and child findings are presented by age, gender, race/ethnicity, health insurance status and poverty level. The report features easy-to-read tables and graphs and covers dozens of health topics, including asthma, obesity, health insurance and health care access. The information was collected over two survey cycles –- 2003 and 2005 ­-– which, along with supplementary data gathered from the 2001 CHIS survey, provide a broad view of health trends in the nation’s most populous and diverse state.
