May 28, 2015

Fact Sheet

Authors: Alimat Adebiyi, Catherine Chanfreau-Coffinier, PhD, Jennifer S. Haas, Ninez A. Ponce, PhD, MPP

Based on the study Empowering Choices in Breast Cancer Treatment, this fact sheet reports that one of every five women with early-stage breast cancer does not know whether she is at high or low risk for cancer recurrence, pointing to the need for better communication between doctors and patients about genomic test results.

This fact sheet was produced in collaboration with Harvard University’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Aetna.
