This article explores the link between immigration and preventive health care services, particularly among adults of Mexican origin. Though new immigrants arrive in the United States with better than average health, this declines over time. The article reports that recent Mexican immigrants are the least likely immigrant group to receive preventive care services, which can prevent or delay some of this health decline.
