May 5 webinar: Data to fight childhood obesity

The National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research will host a free webinar on its online Catalogue of Surveillance Systems that allows users to review, sort, and compare more than 75 surveillance systems (including the California Health Interview Survey) that collect data relevant to childhood obesity research. The Catalogue provides a unique window on obesity-related environmental factors and policies, as well as trends in relevant health behaviors, outcomes and determinants. It also includes local, state, and national systems that provide data at multiple levels. See the complete list of data resources here.

This webinar will describe the newly-released Catalogue’s features and functions, how to use the Catalogue to support state/local health department goals, and how to use the Catalogue to increase effectiveness and innovation in research.
