October 6 forum (Los Angeles): Traffic pollution and your health

Community residents, organizations, and elected officials are encouraged to attend an evening discussion on Thursday, October 6 to learn more about the health effects of air pollution.

Hosted by the Southern California Environmental Health Sciences Center and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), this event will provide you with the opportunity to meet with the nation’s leading experts on air pollution, including NIEHS Director, Dr. Linda Birnhaum. Additional panelists include representatives from the LA County Health Department, the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the California Air Resources Board, Metro, the Environmental Protection Agency, the California Department of Transportation and the East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice.
