Analyzing Multiracial Populations in CHIS and Covered California

PROJECT DATE: to

Most data collection practices aggregate multiracial respondents together into one category, hindering the assessment of health disparities. We aim to refine and disaggregate the categorization of multiracial respondents to improve the evaluation and addressing of potential health and healthcare access disparities affecting multiracial populations. Our analysis centers on capturing varying identities of the multiracial population and how different categorizations of the multiracial population might impact how we view their health and access to care.
