Housing Insecurity and its Relationship with Adult Mental Health

Using 2021 and 2022 California Health Interview Survey data, this research study will provide descriptive statistics regarding the prevalence of housing insecurity (affordability and instability) of California’s adult population. This study will also describe the association between housing insecurity and psychological distress, perceived need for mental health care and unmet mental health needs.
