MPA Key Outcome Measure: Psychological Distress

PROJECT DATE: to

The California Department of Aging (CDA) has collaborated with the California Aging and Disability Research Partnership (CADRP) to develop Master Plan for Aging (MPA) Key Outcome Measures. A key outcome measure that CADRP has elevated is reducing psychological distress among older adults and people with disabilities which is tied to Goal 2 (Health Reimagined), Strategy C (Lifelong Healthy Aging) of the MPA. This outcome measure also supports MPA initiative 52 around developing a friendship warmline for older adults to address isolation and loneliness needs and MPA initiative 53 which aims to introduce older adult awareness to suicide prevention programs. CDA will work with CADRP to develop data dashboards that will be publicly displayed on the Data Dashboard for Aging (https://letsgethealthy.ca.gov/mpa-data-dashboard-for-aging/health-reimagined/). The requested CHIS data will be an input for the dashboards.
