Food Insecurity and Child Food Consumption Patterns Among WIC Participating Families in Los Angeles County Within the Context of the WIC Food Package Change and WIC + SNAP Concurrent Participation

PROJECT DATE: to

Cross-sectional determinants of food insecurity will be identified at each time point for WIC-only vs. WIC + SNAP participants, in order to inform the trends analysis. Significant predictors of food insecurity will be identified by bivariate and multivariable logistic regression models. Predicted slopes for food insecurity trends among WIC-only participants and WIC + SNAP participants will be compared before and after the food package change and against the Los Angeles-wide trends observed for eligible non-participants using generalized linear mixed models, while adjusting for child, caregiver, and family potential confounders.
