30 years logo with text on the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research 30th anniversary gala and awards dinner on november 13

Over the last 30 years, the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (CHPR) has pioneered ways to put data and research into the hands of the public — policymakers, community organizations, researchers, public health departments, health care providers, and much more — in ways that inform, educate, and result in grassroots-driven policy change.

On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, we will host a gala celebration and awards dinner to honor the CHPR leadership, key researchers, and partners who have been integral to CHPR’s milestone achievements during the last 30 years that have made California the state to emulate in health policy. From our leadership in helping to expand the Affordable Care Act, to providing credible and comprehensive data on the health and health care needs of California’s diverse communities through the California Health Interview Survey, to the dozens of research projects that shine a light on inequities across the state, join us as we reflect on our beginnings, reconnect with alumni and supporters, and imagine our future.

We invite you to be a part of our milestone celebration as we mark 30 years of working side by side to advance health equity in California and beyond. Please join us for a memorable evening when we'll bring together CHPR leaders past and present, alumni, researchers, policymakers, advocates, health care providers, community leaders, partners, public health leaders, and the public to celebrate three decades of innovations and successes, and honor the wonderful people who support and inspire our health equity work every day.

Information on honorees, speakers, silent auction, and more coming soon. Stay tuned!
