Pamela A. Linares, PhD, is a senior statistician for the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. Linares provides statistical support and analyses for research projects and contributes to methodological research and data file development. She also helps plan and implement major projects and oversees small-area estimation (SAE) for AskCHIS Neighborhood Edition (NE). 

Previously, Linares served as an assistant professor of biostatistics and epidemiology and as a principal biostatistician at the American University of Antigua, where she oversaw student-led research projects, collaborated with faculty on study development, and provided data management and statistical support to faculty and students. 

Linares earned a PhD in applied and industrial mathematics and a master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Louisville. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Kentucky.
