Patients of female doctors — both men and women — have better outcomes, new study finds

A new study by Dr. Yusuke Tsugawa, a faculty associate at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, found that patients who have a female doctor are less likely to die in the days after being admitted to the hospital and less likely to be readmitted to the hospital than patients who have a male doctor.
