The California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) is the nation's largest state health survey and a unique source of local-level data. The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) provides state-level data on the prevalence of the major behavioral risks among adults associated with premature morbidity and mortality. Together, both data sets comprise a rich trove of information for researchers.   In this May 14 webinar, Ninez Ponce, CHIS principal investigator and professor in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, will provide an overview of both CHIS and BRFSS. The webinar will provide participants with a basic understanding of what information is collected by each source, how to access data, and how these sources may serve as tools to access data for annual reports and/or publications.
