Could YOUR Parents Struggling in Silence?  Save the Date: 9/14, 11:30-1pm

Please join Assembly Member Beall, Senator Liu, and experts from the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and the Insight Center for a lunch discussion about what it really takes for seniors to get by in California. The UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, in partnership with the Insight Center, will be releasing the 2010 Elder Economic Security Standard Index, a county-specific measure of what it takes seniors to meet their basic needs.

We will present a new policy brief that provides updated data on the true cost of living for seniors in every county in California. 

We will also spotlight innovative programs and policies that are helping seniors thrive in our communities, including the launch of the NCOA Economic Security Initiative demonstration in Los Angeles.
