This project examines substance use patterns among Iranian and Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) adults in California using CHIS data. The study will explore differences in alcohol, marijuana, and illicit drug use, with attention to Iranian background and acculturation factors such as language spoken at home and time in the United States. The goal is to better understand substance use patterns in an understudied population and identify potential differences across subgroups.
