The Help@Hand is a five-year demonstration project, funded and directed by counties in the State of California, and overseen by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) as part of their oversight of funds generated through the Mental Health Services Act (passed in 2004, Prop 63). This California statewide collaborative project is designed to bring interactive technology-based mental health solutions into the public mental health system through a highly innovative set of mobile applications. This study is designed as an intervention/control, pre/post-study. The intervention population is residents of the 15 counties participating in Help@Hand. They will be compared to residents of 25 counties that do not participate in the program. The CHIS data will be useful to evaluate and compare the utilization of mental health technologies throughout counties in California.
