Center Director Gerald Kominski is the 2014 Dean's Distinguished Scholar at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Kominski will also deliver the 40th Annual Lester Breslow Distinguished Lecture on March 17, 2014, on "The Affordable Care Act: Will 2014 Finally be the Turning Point?” The event is free.
Kominski has closely worked with Covered California on assessing eligibility and enrollment in the health exchange program. His recent research focuses on how the Affordable Care Act will affect insured and uninsured populations, and his specialty is evaluating the cost of public insurance programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and workers' compensation.
