Psychological Distress and Depression among Arab Individuals in the United States.

1. Identify the prevalence and risk factors of depression and psychological distress among Arab immigrants.

Proposition 56 Evaluation and Endgame Campaign Goals Analysis

Investigate if historical and projected future prevalence rates of cigarette smoking, nicotine vaping, any tobacco use, and quitting-related outcomes (all available in the public use files) differ between LGBTQ+ versus non-LGBTQ+ adults.

O3 Exposure and Respiratory Effects – School absenteeism, Asthma­ related Symptoms, and Asthma-related Emergency Department (ED) visits and Hospitalizations

To investigate both short-term and long-term O3 exposures on school absenteeism due to health issues and the frequency of asthma-related symptoms, the UCLA investigators will conduct a study linking the CHIS 2011- 2019 data to daily O3 concentrations generated from the chemical transport model (CMT) developed by Dr, Michael Kleeman from UC Davis -California Institute of Technology (UCD-CIT), based on the respondents’ geo-coded residential addresses and interview dates.
