Of the 6.9 million people in the United States living with Alzheimer’s disease (AD), more than 719,700 live in California. An estimated 190,300 Los Angeles County residents ages 65 years and older are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. By 2040, the number of Californians with Alzheimer’s and other dementias is expected to increase by 127% and the number of Angelenos living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias will increase 135%.
