The City of West Hollywood Demographic Report provides a snapshot of the current demographic, socioeconomic, and health status data about community members who live in the City. It shows how the City has changed over time and provides information about specific key populations. The report is an essential component of the 2019 West Hollywood Community Study. Data and findings from this study will be combined with the results of the community survey, interviews with community members, focus groups, pop-up workshops and community meetings to help the Social Services Division of the City of West Hollywood identify the community and social services needs of West Hollywood residents as well as social services funding priorities.

The report is organized into four sections: Community-Wide Profile, Health Conditions of West Hollywood, Key Populations, and West Hollywood Client Demographics. Data from the 2014 California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) on adult mental health and cigarette smoking are used in Chapter 2. Other data sources used in the report are the U.S. Census Bureau, the Los Angeles County Public Health Department, the California Department of Public Health, the California Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development, the city of West Hollywood, and data gathered from the surveys conducted during the Community Study update process and incorporated into the final Community Study Report.
