Summary: Each year, Insure The Uninsured Project (ITUP) releases regional health coverage fact sheets for its 11 Regional Workgroup locations. The publications highlight key health insurance coverage facts by county. This year, the fact sheets break down race and ethnicity for people who are insured and those who are not.

Starting with this release of the Los Angeles County fact sheet, the publications detail state/county enrollment in Covered California and Medi-Cal by subsidy status, race/ethnicity, and health plan. Also included are other utilization data related to social drivers of health (i.e., homelessness services used, CalFRESH enrollment, and broadband adoption).

This fact sheet contains data from the 2020 California Health Interview Survey (CHIS).
