The Insure the Uninsured Project (ITUP) Legislative Toolkit is exclusively designed for newly appointed policymakers and their staff. The toolkit provides a deep dive into the state of health coverage in California, equipping policymakers with the knowledge and strategies needed to reduce uninsured rates and expand access to care. California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) data from 2021 on health insurance and health disparities are included in the presentation.
