Summary
Summary: As part of an ongoing effort to address tobacco-related health inequities, the California Tobacco Control Program has made datasets on priority populations in California publicly available. Populations include African American/Black, American Indian, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, LGBTQ+, Low-Income, People with Mental Health Challenges, and Rural Communities.
Data from 2013–2014 and 2016–2017 California Health Interview Survey includes adult current cigarette use; adult current flavored tobacco use, adult current menthol cigarette use; secondhand smoking exposure; use of nicotine replacement therapy to quit; cigarette smoking quit attempts; and quit intentions.
