California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) Data User Training for Government Health Agencies and Legislative Staff

Add to calendar

At the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, we are committed to putting data into the hands of people who need it.

Join us for a special California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) data user training for government health agencies and legislative staff to learn how to use CHIS’ free online health query tools to get data on a wide range of health and health-related topics.

CHIS staff will demonstrate how to set up a free account; search for health statistics by geography; compare topics and look across socio-demographic factors; identify patterns and trends; view and export data in tables, charts, and graphs; and more. Explore more than 24 million estimates and 600+ variables/topics in AskCHIS™.

You will also learn how to use AskCHIS™ Neighborhood Edition (NE), which provides select health estimates at more granular levels of geography, including census tract, ZIP code, city, county, and legislative district levels.
